Please read below the terms and conditions of our School of Motoring (herein called The School). These are based on the Code of Practice of Approved Driving Instructors. It is important the student reads and understands them and where they have a question or concern, they ask for clarification. The School cannot accept responsibility for any misunderstanding arising from a student’s neglect in reading them.

• Students must ensure that they are holders of a valid current Driving Licence. This must be produced at the first lesson.
• Students must inform their instructor if they receive any endorsements during the time, they are receiving tuition.
• Students must advise their instructor of any disabilities or prescribed medication which may affect their ability to drive.

• In the interests of safety and comfort, Students are strongly advised to wear only suitable footwear and clothing which do not restrict any movement; please consult your instructor who will be happy to advise you

• If by reason of a vehicle failure or other emergency, a lesson has to be postponed at short notice, an alternative lesson shall be made with mutual consent. In the case of a Driving Test, The School shall be responsible to the Student for the fee of the next test. Pupils must appreciate that it may not always be possible to notify a cancellation if a breakdown occurs on the way to a lesson.
• Driving tests shall take priority over lessons. Therefore, a lesson booked may on occasion have to be cancelled or postponed if the School receives short notice of a Driving Test.
• Except in the case of a breakdown mentioned above, The School will wherever possible give notice of rearrangement or postponement of a lesson within the same limit that the School imposes upon the Student postponing or cancelling lessons.
• If circumstances arise that a change of instructor is necessary, the Student shall have the right to discontinue lessons with The School.

• At least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation or postponement of a lesson is required. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are chargeable unless the reason for cancelling is Covid-19 related.

• We draw the attention of the Student to the fact that a Statutory Period of Notice is required under UK Government Regulations for the postponement or cancellation of a test. Please be advised that neither The School nor the instructor can be held responsible for the loss of the Test Fee if the Student fails to notify the Test booking office.
• The School or the instructor cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation of a Test by the Testing Authority (DVSA) for whatever reason.
• Students should note that where lessons or vehicle tuition are cancelled at short notice because of the Testing Authority, fees remain payable. It may be possible to claim your lost fees from the Testing Authority. Please ask your instructors advice.

• In the case of payments for individual lessons, payment for your lessons may be made to your instructor. Students are advised that if they fall behind with their payments, The School reserves the right to cancel further lessons without notice. Preferred payment method is by bank transfer or cash if need be. (Ask your instructor for bank details)

• A-Class School of Motoring Ltd (“the School”) following guidance from NASP and DVSA has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 which the School will adhere to at all times; however, the School cannot completely eradicate all risk and potential exposure to COVID-19 partly due its infectious nature and ones inability to social distance inside the driving school car. By signing this agreement, the Pupil acknowledges the contagious nature of COVID-19 and accepts the risk that they may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending the School and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and in some cases death, for which the School cannot be held responsible.
• The pupil must also agree to that if necessary, they will take part in the national trace and track initiative.
