• If by reason of a vehicle failure or other emergency, a lesson has to be postponed at short notice, an alternative lesson shall be made with mutual consent. In the case of a Driving Test, The School shall be responsible to the Student for the fee of the next test. Pupils must appreciate that it may not always be possible to notify a cancellation if a breakdown occurs on the way to a lesson.
• Driving tests shall take priority over lessons. Therefore, a lesson booked may on occasion have to be cancelled or postponed if the School receives short notice of a Driving Test.
• Except in the case of a breakdown mentioned above, The School will wherever possible give notice of rearrangement or postponement of a lesson within the same limit that the School imposes upon the Student postponing or cancelling lessons.
• If circumstances arise that a change of instructor is necessary, the Student shall have the right to discontinue lessons with The School.

4. POSTPONEMENT OF A LESSON BY THE STUDENT

• At least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation or postponement of a lesson is required. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are chargeable unless the reason for cancelling is Covid-19 related.

Please be advised that neither The School nor the instructor can be held responsible for the loss of the Test Fee if the Student fails to notify the Test booking office.
• The School or the instructor cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation of a Test by the Testing Authority (DVSA) for whatever reason.
• Students should note that where lessons or vehicle tuition are cancelled at short notice because of the Testing Authority, fees remain payable. It may be possible to claim your lost fees from the Testing Authority. Please ask your instructors advice.
